Helen and Robert Appel Alzheimer's Disease Research Institute

The Helen and Robert Appel Alzheimer’s Disease Research Institute conducts basic and translational research to better understand Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The goal of the institute is to understand the root cause of Alzheimer’s disease and find ways to hopefully prevent and cure it. The institute promotes cross-institutional, interdisciplinary research efforts, and it seeks to increase awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and to mobilize people from the public and private sectors to help fight it.
